Introduction CDM

Hi all, my name is Christopher Mc Keon I am a third level student studying a 4-year course in Creative Digital Media in TU Dublin Blanchardstown. I have always had an interest in creative digital media, and this is my first time doing a college-level course. I have worked as a photographer assistant as well as a painter/decorator over the years. Prior to starting this college course, I have been studying with the VTOS centre in Navan developing my computer skills in software development.

Creativity: Update 1

In today's class of Introduction to Digital Media we were given our first project which we must complete over the coming weeks. We had to create an animated GIF and present it in a PowerPoint presentation as part of a group project. At first, I was horrified at the idea of doing a presentation as I am not great when it comes to speaking in public, as I can sometimes get extremely nervous. When it came to be finding the best people to work with, I was lucky as they were individuals that I've already become good friends with. Ron and Cian are very nice people and I know I can rely on them to get this project done the right way. Since we decided to go with an animated GIF for a project, I decided to take it upon myself to create a group page using WhatsApp. I felt this would be a great way of communicating since this is something, we have been using to keep in touch with others in our creative development class. Culture: Update 2

This new assignment was quite interesting as we had to create a project based around culture. This would be a little bit tricky as we were only given this assignment the day before we finished up for the reading week. This meant the only time we would be able to meet up and work on the group project would be over the days we had off.  This was a little difficult as each of us would need to arrange transport to meet up and work on our group project. This was a little tricky as each of us were coming from different locations such as Cavan, Navan and Ballivor. We decided that Navan would be the best place to meet up as it was easily accessible for everybody in the group and there was a nice little coffee shop their where we could work in peace and quiet. I think Keith, Wiktoria and I really wanted to develop a strong and impressive idea in which we could be proud of.
